MT Alpha Cycling is our 2024 beneficiary!

MT Alpha is a non-profit organization based out of Missoula, MT. They are a women’s and girl’s cycling organization dedicated to getting more women and youth on bikes. MT Alpha is a big part of the Missoula community - they first started with about 12 adult members in 2012, and now have over 100 members (juniors and adults)!

MT Alpha was also the first to start a youth girls cycling program in the area, ages 7-17. After this, many have remained on MT Alpha to help coach and ride with the adult race or club team. The entire MT Alpha team has learned bike skills, trail etiquette, and camaraderie; riding confidently on their own and with friends. Many of the juniors are also on their high school NICA mountain bike team, the Missoula Mammoths. The Missoula Mammoths have one of the strongest girls contingent in their NICA league and MT Alpha is proud to be part of the reason for this; they are eager to continue furthering this effort.

MT Alpha Cycling’s Mission: “MT Alpha Cycling is a club dedicated to getting more identifying women, girls, and non-binary people on bikes. We focus on cultivating skills, confidence, and competition through clinics, group rides, training, and race support.”

We’re so excited to be partnered with MT Alpha Cycling as our missions are so well aligned. 20% of proceeds from 2024 The Dusty Bandita will go to MT Alpha Cycling so they can further their mission within the community and beyond.
